In the preview for the race in interviewed the team manager: "We were expecting for big results in the first and last stage, but during a TimeTrial race in Australia, our TT Star, Hubert Bjargarsson got injured and will only return in the second day of RoTM... So we are just heading for top 9 finishs in the sprint stages and Bjargarsson will try to go to top 9 in the last stage!"
Then Bjargarsson appeared and said: "I'm going to recover and I will try to give my team a podium!". All the journalists were very surprised to see the star in such a good mood after his crash. Ásson didn't appeared but he published on his Facebook wall that he will do his best to give the team results! Ásson also promised to update us on his condition before the Tour.
